Introducing (Optional) “Women Tell All” Special Points Categories

Based on popular opinion from last season, we’re going to score the “Women Tell All” episode this year. It’s completely optional, so if you decide not to award these points in your league, ain’t no thang.

We’ve decided to only award points to the contestants belonging to each team AFTER the mid-season draft. Some of you pointed out that it seems like we’re punishing people who drafted well (i.e. have Whitney and Becca remaining on their teams and thus don’t have an opportunity to score as many points in the Women Tell All). We’re actually hoping that this gives teams who aren’t doing as well a chance to catch up and make the finale even more exciting in your leagues.

If you disagree, feel free to award points to the original teams you drafted. Talk to your commissioner and just make sure you’re all on the same page.

Onto the fun stuff!

Y’all submitted some terrific points categories. We culled through the list and pulled out our favorites. Here’s what we’ll be scoring during the Women Tell All (in addition to the regular points):

  • Entering a guess as to who will win the show (5 points)
  • Apologizing to another contestant (5 points)
  • Mentioning a new romantic interest in her life (10 points)
  • Asking Chris why he got rid of her (15 points)
  • Admitting that feelings still remain for Chris (20 points)
  • Getting chosen for a one-on-one interview with Chris Harrison (25 points)

No wildcard points for this episode. Good luck!

Women Tell All: Special Points Edition

We’re going to add a few special categories to score during the Women Tell All episode next Monday and we’d love your suggestions. Points categories can be phrases or actions. For example, “Rolling her eyes when someone else is talking: 20 points” or “Getting bleeped for profanity: 15 points.” Leave a comment with your suggested categories and we’re going to pick our favorites.

We’ll send out a blog post by Friday with the special points listed out.

Season 19, Episode 3: Points

We’re really getting in the groove of this beast, aren’t we? Last night brought us Jimmy Kimmel, squealing hogs, and a scene from Wedding Crashers reimagined as a PG movie.

Wildcard Points Winner: No one! Not one lady made a disparaging remark about Ashley S., who was on her best behavior. I guess it’s physics—for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. We’ll make next week’s wildcard points worth double to make up for it.

We will also award 10 points to whichever one of you can tell us what’s going on with Jillian’s undercarriage.

Welcome to “The Bachelor” Fantasy League, Season 19

Welcome back for our third season of BachFantasy! After a few months of productive Monday evenings, we’re back and ready to let The Bachelor suck the life out of us all over again. This season’s crop of bachelorettes (farmer pun absolutely intended—buckle up and get used to it) is full of freshly spray-tanned ladies who all lied about their willingness to move to Iowa in the name of love.

If you’re new to BachFantasy, or could use a little refresher on how this works, keep reading. Otherwise, we’ll see you back here on January 6th with Episode 1 points. (Wish you were watching along with us each week? Follow us on Facebook and Twitter; we live tweet each episode!)

How Our Bachelor Fantasy League Works

1) Gather your “Bachelor”-loving friends and choose a League Commissioner. The Commissioner is responsible for tallying league members’ points each week and sharing the standings with the league.

2) Choose how your league is going to run your draft (read more on that below) and submit your contestant picks to your league commissioner.

3) Watch “The Bachelor” every Monday night, beginning January 5th on ABC.

4) Visit this blog every Tuesday morning to see how each of your contestants scored. The league commissioner should add up the point totals for each team in order to figure out the weekly rankings.

Calling all league commissioners: click here to download a BachFantasy scoring template.

The Draft

You have a few options when it comes to drafting your Bachelor fantasy league team team of five contestants. Click here to read more about how to draft your team.

Mid-season Draft (Brand New!)

This season, our league is trying something new to spice it up. When there are 10 ladies left, you’ll have the option to trade one of your players or replace an ousted player with one of the remaining bachelorettes.

For example, if my team is down to two ladies, I can draft one of the remaining ten to my team for a new total of three active players. Or, if I still have a full team of five, I can trade one of my players for a bachelorette I think has a better chance of winning. Spicy, no?

Points Categories

You’ll be rewarded for drafting bold contestants but more so for drafting contestants who go the distance. Points are divided into Phrases, Actions, and Roses.

Welcome to “The Bachelorette” Fantasy League, Season 11

So you want to create a fantasy league for Andi’s season? You’ve come to the right place.

We’ll do all the grunt work and score each episode for you. Read on for instructions on how to draft, how we score, and how to find out if you’re kicking everyone’s butts.

How It Works

1) Recruit a group of “Bachelorette”-loving friends. One of you should be the League Commissioner, the go-to person for all things Bach Fantasy.

2) Figure out the best way for your league to draft contestants (read more on that below) and submit your contestant picks to your league commissioner.

3) Watch the “Bachelorette” every Monday night, beginning May 19.

4) Visit this blog every Tuesday morning to see how each of your contestants scored. The league commissioner should add up the point totals for each team in order to figure out the weekly rankings.

The Draft

You have a few options when it comes to drafting your team of five contestants.

1) Live draft in person

Gather up your nearest and dearest, DVR “The Bachelorette,” and watch the show up through the last limo introductions. At this point, pause the show. Have each player draft their 5 contestants on a piece of paper and turn them into the commissioner.

2) Virtual live draft

So your teammates all live in different time zones, eh? We feel your pain, as we’re all spread across the continent too. For this to work, everyone should watch the show in his or her respective homes. Pause after limo introductions, before the real shenanigans begin. Email your appointed league commissioner with your five contestants.

3) Pre-show draft, based on contestants’ bios

Read through the contestants’ bios. It’s a treasure trove. Select your five players and email your league commissioner.

Points Categories

You’ll be rewarded for drafting bold contestants but more so for drafting contestants who go the distance. Points are divided into Phrases, Actions, and Roses.

We’re still looking for a write-in points category suggestion, so please leave us a comment if you’ve got a great idea for a points category.
