FAQs

Do I need to register somewhere on your site?

Nope! Gather up your friends (your league) and draft your contestants. Designate a league commissioner to visit the site every Tuesday and keep track of your league’s points. (You can use our Season 13 scoring template.)

How many teams can there be in a league?

Our humble league has 7 teams. Just remember: the more teams, the more overlap you’re likely to have in terms of drafting similar contestants. So, it might be a good idea to break into two leagues if you have more than 8 teams.

In my league, we want to draft more than five contestants to a team. Can we do that?

Be our guest! Five was the random number we chose to be able to keep track of the points the easiest. Feel free to draft more.

What happens if we all draft the same contestants?

Realistically, the chances of that are slim. But if it does happen, try having everyone in your league draft one additional contestant.

Can’t I just look up who wins online and then draft that contestant, ensuring that I win my league?

Well, I suppose you could. Did you also go around telling all your fellow second graders that Santa Claus wasn’t real? Here at BachFantasy, we believe in the honor code. No looking up spoilers.

What does the league commissioner do? Do we need one?

Your league commissioner will be your go-to person for all things BachFantasy. You should email him or her with the names of your contestants when you draft.  He or she should also have a master team roster, and check the blog every Tuesday to see the contestants’ standings.

How does the league commissioner keep track of all the points?

We use a master spreadsheet and found that it works quite well.

Would be awesome to track points for the Women Tell All episode so that we could have someone “back in the game” points wise. Make it a last ditch effort to get ahead. :)

  2. Jake says:

I’m going to try and commissioner for my friends this year – does it take a lot of time to calculate points?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Jake, I think you’ll be up to the task. It’s not too bad at all. I’m also the league commissioner for my friends’ league and I have a Google doc that I just update every Tuesday. Your friends DO owe you a beer at the end of the season, though.

  3. Allison D says:

Will you be doing this for Chris’ season?

  4. Trevis says:

So we started a league…I am the commish (lucky me). Are the stats updated by girl each week?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Hey Trevis – Every Tuesday we’ll post points for each girl from the previous night’s episode. As the commissioner, tally the total points each of your league members earned, based on the ladies each league member drafted. We posted our scoring spreadsheet that we use, which helps illustrate how we actually do this! Feel free to download here:

      https://bachfantasy.com/2015/01/05/wanna-borrow-our-scoring-template-download-it-here/

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any additional questions!

      • Maggie says:

Where will you be posting points for the new Season of the Bachelorette (JoJo’s season)? Also, have you updated the scoring template for this season with the male contestant names? I can only find the female contestants from Ben’s season in your template. Thanks!

  5. Courtney S. says:

First off, love your bach draft. A bunch of my girlfriends and I are doing it! So the commissioner tallied the points (assuming each person had picked 10 for the first round – we did it a bit differently) and the person in the lead picked 12 instead of 10. What do you suggest the commissioner do to account for that? Disqualification? Eliminate their highest picks for this round? Thanks!

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Hey Courtney! So one person in your league drafted 12 ladies instead of 10 (is that right?). I say the commissioner puts that team’s contestants’ names in a hat and draws two names at random. Those two names are then cut from that person’s team (and corresponding points taken away). What do you think?

  6. chickky311 says:

Hi, a friend and I are doing our own mini-league (just the two of us). It’s our first time doing this, and so far it’s been quite enjoyable! My one question is, if a girl is eliminated at the end of an episode, do her points for that episode still count? Thanks!

  7. Jason says:

Are you going to be running a Dancing with the Stars game? You do a great job with the Bachelor, and I haven’t found a great fantasy game for DwtS. If you aren’t going to run one, could you recommend one?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Unfortunately, we don’t know of any. But thank you for the compliments! We’re taking a rest period until next season of the Bachelorette :)

  8. Allison says:

We are going to have two teams of 8. Any ideas on how we can determine the grand champion between the two winners?

  9. Vanessa says:

Will you add Nick once he joins the season (as seen in the preview of the season premiere)?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

We don’t plan to calculate points for Nick, since he wasn’t eligible for the draft. However, we’ll probably incorporate him into the Wildcard points somehow (i.e. First guy to antagonize Nick gets 30 points, etc.)

  10. Laura B says:

So in our league of 13, 6 of the girls drafted the same 5 guys. If we stay how it is now, we will have a 5 way tie if these girls win. What would you suggest to shake it up a bit? Each draw a player (random)? add one more to the team (girls choice)? Would love some feedback! Thanks!!

    • Bach Fantasy says:

This is a tricky situation! We had some overlap with our teams as well. It feels unfair to have everyone draw a player at random, but i suspect a lot of girls will draft the same guy if given free reign. If you guys aren’t comfortable with a tie in the end, I suggest the random draw.

I think ABC really messed us up this season with the two bachelorettes. You basically had half the guys to draft from based on who you thought would become the Bachelorette. Hopefully this will be the first and last time they try this nonsense.

  11. Crystal says:

    Hello there,

So, I had one of the girls in our league ask a question about Brady. She had drafted him to her fantasy team. He is not still in the running for winning Caitlin’s heart, but has still been on the show a few times with Britt showing their relationship progress. She would like to know if there are any points to be given for Brady?

I looked at the points categories and didn’t see anything that fits. However, I thought I would reach out to you all and see what you suggest.

    Thanks,
    Crystal

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Hi, Crystal! We decided not to score Brady because all of our points are awarded for interactions with the Bachelorette, and Britt is not the Bachelorette. Thanks!

  12. Nikki says:

Isn’t apologizing to kaitlyn supposed to get 10 PTs? Ian only got 5

  13. Nikki says:

Didn’t Ben h say he fell in love with kaitlyn

  14. Here for the Right Reasons says:

Will you guys be doing bachelor in paradise fantasy or do you only do regular bachelor(ette)?

  15. Crystal says:

I tried to score the Men Tell All on Episode #10 and it is not scoring… is anyone else having trouble? (I re-downloaded the template and entered everything again and still having the save problem)

And, does that mean there will not be a scoring sheet for the final episode?

    Help please!

    Crystal

  16. Shimoni says:

Hello! When & where can I find points for last nights episode? I am the league commissioner for my team – am I supposed to be adding points up myself?

  17. Sam says:

Didn’t Olivia cry when talking about her cankles?

  18. Marge Wilaby says:

on the points tally for the episode you cross off the name of people who are kicked off, and yet you still award points… as a commissioner do I fill in the contestant score sheet with the points for those kicked off?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Yes! Contestants still receive points for the week they were voted off. Obviously, contestants don’t receive any points moving forward after that (unless they come back to the show to beg for another chance).

  19. Laura says:

    Hi Bach Fantasy,
Could you explain how a re-draft works and if you will be having one for Ben’s season?
My leauge is with coworkers and we love it! Thanks for all the hard work.

  20. Anne marie says:

Hi ladies. QUESTION: After a girl leaves the show do the points she accumulated for that week still count? I thought once her name was crossed out the points no longer counted…
    Thank you!

  21. Tina says:

    Didn’t Olivia cry last night?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

We heard audio but never saw moisture. We all know she cried but we’re trying to be consistent and they did not show her crying on camera.

  22. Will you be doing a fantasy league for JoJo’s season starting next month?

  23. Alexa says:

Please tell me you will be here for JoJo’s season! Organizing my team now!

  24. Danielle says:

When will you be posting info for Jojos season?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Keep an eye out over the next week or so! ABC hasn’t posted the guy’s bios yet. Once they do, we’ll post our drafting guide and some updates to rules for this season!

  25. Melissa says:

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this so it’s similar to fantasy football? Where you draft a team and then have to pick a weekly lineup? I know it would be hard since lots of people are voted off weekly. Just trying to see if that’s even possible.

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Melissa – good question. We’ve been thinking on this as well and think it may be feasible but haven’t quite figured out the kinks yet. Also, with the current scorekeeping methods (pretty manual), it would be a big burden on the league commissioners.

    • Josh says:

I am doing it like that this season.. we have 4 people in the league, 3 starters 1 bench for now.. and as weeks go on rosters need to dwindle so everyone can fill a team until the final 3 where unfortunatly people cant score (hopefully they have a solid lead). After each week they can swap in and out from the free agent pool (last place gets priority)

  26. Caralia says:

When will the updated score sheet for JoJo’s season be available?

  27. Sheri says:

Yes, I click on the template download in it’s still Ben’s season. Looking forward to playing this year.

  28. Josh says:

No “Being Violent/Physical” points awarded? Gonna miss out on a lot of points with Chad

  29. Camille says:

Are you going to post an updated spreadsheet for Jojo’s season??

  30. Melissa says:

The updated sheet is there. If u go under the “points categories” it should be the updates one. There’s where I got mine. But when I looked for it under “home” it was still on Jo Jo’s season

  31. Bree says:

I need ridiculous winning prize ideas!

  32. Shelly B says:

Hey Bach Fantasy, we are a new league this season with 12 teams. We are planning to do a mid-season draft party but wanted to know how it should work. Is the “Men Tell All” episode scored (If so, I could see the benefit of keeping a Chad on your team)?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Men Tell All is scored! Mid-Season draft is coming up soon, after Episode 5, before Episode 6 :) Does that help??

      • Nicholas Uhl says:

So would you pick one new guy after Episode 5 and be required to drop one of your 5? That would make you think a little harder to just drop anybody.

      • Shelly B says:

Great thanks!! for the draft, (we all have 6 men already) would we just swap men for other ones so that we still have 6?

      • Bach Fantasy says:

Exactly! We’re going to do a full post on it this Wednesday so you’ll have all the deets then. (It’s simple, don’t worry!)

  33. April says:

We love the Bach draft! Thank you!

Quick quwstion- what if towards the end we have a bunch of teams with no more draft picks because all their picks have been eliminated? Is there a point where each player can drop one pick and pick a new one that is still in the running?

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Hi April! You’re in luck. We actually have a mid-season draft after Episode 5 each season. Come back on Wednesday for a full post detailing how that works. (It’s really simple.)

  34. Lindsay says:

Question – I noticed on some of the men from Week 5 episode got 25 points for getting a rose to stay another week but not all of them did? For instance, Alex stayed through both rose ceremonies but only got the points once. Thanks!

    • Bach Fantasy says:

Hi Lindsay – The way they cut the episodes made this really confusing. At the end of Episode 4, Alex got points for receiving the rose on the two-on-one date. So, for the first rose ceremony in Episode 5, he already had a rose. Then, he got points for getting a rose during the second one. If you go back through the points posts, you’ll see that he’s received points for getting the rose to stay another week for each episode, they just haven’t been ending episodes cleanly with a rose ceremony, which makes this confusing!

  35. Meg says:

Hi! Love your bach draft! Will you be doing one for Bachelor in Paradise??

  36. ned848 says:

Hello!!!!!! Wow, i love this. I am the commissioner for my league. Just so I can be prepared, will you be doing Bach Fantasy for Paradise???? Trying to make an epic spreadsheet to calculate points

  37. marie says:

I have a general question about the mid season draft –For the Men Tell All episode, how will points be distributed? For example, I only didn’t have a full team intact going into episode 6, so I added one extra to my team. According to the “teams-post mid season draft” tab on the excel document, i now technically have 6 men on my team. Will I receive points for all 6 of them on the men tell all episode?

On the same note, for people who had a full team pre-mid season draft, and opted to switch out one of their men for another — which contestant will they receive points for on the Tell All episode?

  38. Kim says:

Love your bach fantasy league!! Will you have a fantasy league for Bachelor in Paradise this summer?

  39. jmage11 says:

Is the season finale and the after show scored?

  40. Christina says:

Will you be doing a league for Bachelor in Paradise? Trying to figure out on my end if that’s even feasible!

  41. Crystal says:

Is there going to be a 2017 updated version posted soon?

  42. Katy Rollins says:

How do we handle it if a previous contestant shows up mid season? Like *ahem* Nick did.

  43. Karinne F. says:

We set up a group to compete for this seasons bachelor but it was very last minute and not everyone had an opportunity to setup the first weeks picks. Is there a way to discard these points so some individuals don’t start at a disadvantage?

  44. Rachel K. says:

How does the mid-season draft work??

  45. Katie says:

The points are wrong!!!! Christen did not get a group date rose.. most girls didn’t get points for getting a rose to stay another week.. Corrine was at a concert and dancing and got no points and it’s just all wrong…Are you guys going to fix this? If not we need to know bc we are going g to have to figured out how to tally these points on our own 🙄😒

  46. Will you be running/keeping track of points for the upcoming Arie season?

  47. Crystal says:

Just wondering if you will be doing the same for Arie’s season? And when the site will be updated?

    Thanks for all you do!

  48. Natalia says:

Are you guys doing this for Arie’s season? Please say yes! Your site is the best!

  49. Kristin says:

Fingers crossed that you guys will be doing Arie’s season! I have 18 girls in my league and we love you guys and your site!

    • Kristin says:

I reached out to BachFantasy via email and they said they are taking a break for Arie’s season. Hopefully they’ll be back next season. If anyone knows of another good scoring site, let me know!
