Cliffhangers are a dang thorn in our behinds. We prefer to tie up each episode neatly with a rose ceremony. ABC has other plans. Next week’s episode will likely have two rose ceremonies.
Some important housekeeping, before we get to points:
- In Episode 1, I mistakenly awarded 5 points for “mentioning his kid” to Ryan B., who has yet to father any offspring (to the best of our/his knowledge). Those 5 points should’ve gone to Justin. Please update in your spreadsheet accordingly. Mea culpa.
The wildcard points for last night’s episode went to JJ, who Amy Schumer delightfully raked over the coals. (P.S. we announce the upcoming wildcard points category every Sunday/Monday on Twitter.)

Question of the week: What in tarnation is going on with Britt and Brady? Is it a calculated move to prolong her time in the spotlight? Would she have “gone steady” with WHOEVER knocked on her hotel room door? Give us your take in the comments.

I think Clunt should get 25 more points for last night than you posted. He got a rose on his date.
Getting the rose to stay another week (25 points)
So there are no additional points awarded for receiving a rose on the one-on-one date. Because, the alternative to NOT receiving a rose is going home. So receiving a rose is kinda par for the course.
Last season you awarded points for people who went on one-on-one’s and additional points for when they received a rose on that date. I don’t know if/when this changed, but I just thought I would point it out.
Oh snap, you’re right. Minor miscommunication. Clint SHOULD get points for “getting the rose to stay another week,” which I should’ve awarded last night — I was thrown off because of the no rose ceremony.
No points for Brady for his interactions with Britt? She isn’t the bachelorette, so I’m not sure Brady should get any points, but I’m kind of on the fence about it.
See our reply below :-)
Yeah, Brady should get special “spinoff” points! I am biased because he is on my team, but still!

I’m wondering about Brady as well. I haven’t posted the points for my pool yet, so I’d like to get a second opinion on the matter before I do. Shouldn’t having Brady still in the show be bonus points somehow to those who have him on their team (I do not, but still want to be fair). Men still get points for the Men Tell All and the on camera stuff they talk about when they are kicked off even when it’s after the fact. I think he should be getting something for his time with Britt. He’s still on the show.
These are all fair points, but we decided not to award points to Brady after he chose to leave. He isn’t eligible for all the points categories. For example, he can’t be given a rose or invited on a group date. Additionally, it’s not an even playing field since he always has one-on-one time with Britt, and no other competition. The rest of the guys are still competing.
He’ll be eligible for points in The Men Tell All episode, but not for the one-on-one time spent with Britt.
I’m curious about Chris Harrison’s points, I drafted him on my team but he hasn’t been included in the point breakdown. Was he on the list as a joke?
So I know it’s a long way off but I think the equation in episode 10 is off for the whole spreadsheet. The value of the “if true” portion of the equation refers to column M on the constant scores sheet and it should refer to column K. I might be mistaken but thought I should ask anyways. Thank you very much though for leading the way and all the work you do to make the spreadsheet and post the points, it makes watching this show so much more fun!!!
