Welcome to Season 12 of “The Bachelorette” and the sixth season of BachFantasy! This season premiere was major. We had Damn Daniel drunk and wandering around in undies, diving into a pool even though there was clearly no lifeguard on duty. We had a gorgeous specimen named Ali who played the piano and caused millions of panties to spontaneously evaporate off their owners’ bodies around the country. We had a Bachelor superfan and Ken doll lookalike that legitimately made me LOL every time he appeared on screen; he was so nervous to meet all his heroes in the flesh. I thought for sure he was going to ask Chris Harrison to sign his chest. We were treated to a private serenade from the musical stylings of All4One, and just like that I was 13 years old again, swaying in my middle school gym with a spiral-shaped rhinestone tattoo glued on my arm and butterfly clips in my hair.
We also had the earliest reveal of a season villain in Bachelorette history. Can we talk about those coming attractions? So, Chad is essentially two fists and a beard. I’ve gone ahead and renamed the season.
Onto the points! Take a gander at our points categories again, even if you’ve played with us before, as there have been some additions this year and a few points changes. Have your commissioner add your contestants’ points to your spreadsheet to see how your team is stacking up.
Thirty wildcard points went to Christian, who was the first man to arrive in anything other than a limo (he showed up on a motorcycle). We announce our Wildcard Points category on Twitter every Monday before the show starts. Follow us there for live tweets, plenty o’ gifs, and wildcard points.
Two caveats to this week’s points totals:
- Some dude presented JoJo with a piece of toast during his limo introduction, but he did not hand it to her. Thus, it was not a gift, merely a prop in his terrible pun.
- In order for it to count as an interruption, a contestant has to be interrupting someone else’s one-on-one time with JoJo.
Without further ado…
- Alex: 30 points
- Wearing a helmet (5 points)
- Getting a rose to stay another week (25 points)

Doesn’t like get points for riding up on a horse/unicorn?
Like is Luke!!!
Hi Jenn – the Wildcard points can only go to one contestant per episode, so since Christian was the first to show up in a non-limo, the points go to him.
Ohh thanks! After I posted I realized my mistake! Thank you!!
Point Suggestions (for The Bachelorette and not The Bachelor): saying “bro”, saying “dude”, saying someone is “not being genuine”, striking another person, striking a wall/object, bleeding, causing someone else to bleed, pulling a prank on someone, being pranked, going swimming, going skinny-dipping…
I sense a violence theme in these points suggestions, perhaps brought on by those coming attractions?!
Possibly. But also, these are guys, pranks and fighting and posturing will be much more abundant than crying and other attention-getting tactics. Thanks, love the site.
suggestion for next season > the person who gets the first kiss gets extra points
Oooh yes, we like that too.
First REAL kiss. Not the Will creepiness.
If a player got points, but was then eliminated, does that person still get those points? For example, Jonathan got 35 points, but his name is striked out because he was sent home, does someone with him on their team get those 35 points, or are they cancelled out because he’s no longer here?
You still get the points for your player, even if he’s sent home that week!
kind of think Christian could have gotten points for “talking about his kids” even though they are his little bros. Just saying!
Aw sorry, no points for talking about siblings! If he was their sole legal guardian, we’d consider it.
Shouldn’t Nick B get points for dressing up in a Santa costume???
We discussed this and opted not to award points. The category states that points are awarded for wearing costume/clothes native to another country/culture. Despite Santa “originating from the North Pole,” Santa is ultimately a character and not representative of an actual culture. Ruling stands.
I’m dying! First time playing and our group is already having a blast.
Question – since we are all so remote, we did a pre-season draft based on bios. We have opted to allow 1 change to each team’s roster after episode 1, but before episode 2. So similar to the redraft you’ve setup in week 5 of your sheet.
How can I represent this ‘redraft’ in the xls sheet? Thinking I can try to recreate your Mid-Season draft tab and insert it before Episode 2, but am not sure what dependencies that Mid Season Redraft tab has. Are there any formulas in it, or that other tabs have that refer to data in that tab?
Hope that makes sense… Thanks!
Hi CorgiButts (best part of my day was just addressing that comment to CorgiButts) – I can probably help you out here if you’re not super comfortable with Excel. I can likely tackle this in the next day or two and send to you. If you could email us at [email protected], I can email it back to you directly.
where is the updated excel spreadsheet for this season? am i blind?
love you guys!
Go to the previous post – Link is in there :)

Wanted to give a quick heads-up on your spreadsheet template. I noticed on mine that in the episodes prior to the mid-season draft the points for Wells were showing up in both the Will and the Wells column.
Where did you find the spreadsheet?
Hi Raeed! You can find the spreadsheet in our welcome post here: https://bachfantasy.com/2016/05/19/welcome-to-the-bachelorette-fantasy-league-season-12-2/
Thanks!
thank you thank you!
Shouldn’t James Taylor get points for singing?
Nevermind! I didn’t realize it’s the same category as playing an instrument.
What does STAT CORRECTION mean? I’ve been looking everywhere for an explanation and can’t figure it out. Sorry if this is a dumb question – this is the first time my group is playing.
Hi Jessie! Sorry about that. Stat correction means that someone pointed out something we didn’t see (Brandon’s interruption) so we updated his points total. Usually, we post any stat corrections within a few hours of the original post!
It means it’s an update to the original scoring that first went out.
For our midseason draft, do we lose points we have already earned? I’m not quite sure how it is set up in the Excel sheet. Thanks!
Hi Kylie –
Good question – no, you’ll keep all the points you earned pre-mid season draft for your original team. Moving forward, you’ll just earn points for your updated team.
Becca
Should Vinny gets points for saying “A lot of these guys are here for the wrong reasons” during the Rose Ceremony?
Shouldn’t Jordan have 85 points, not 60? He should get 25 points for getting a rose to stay another week.
He already got points for receiving the first impression rose, which is worth more than a regular rose.
Daniel and Derek are out of alphabetical order. It’s messing me up on my excel draft but I caught it!
Yes, sorry about that! It’s been changed for episode 2’s points already.
