Gas up the tractor, baby. We’re off and running. I’d like to extend a hearty welcome to all you first-time Bach Fantasy players and grizzled veterans alike. Welcome home. We have wine and we have snark. Mummy loves you.
How ’bout them limo intros? I’m never sure how each crop of contestants is going to top the last, and yet ABC somehow keeps flipping over rocks and scouring bar bathrooms to find the kookiest kooks within the confines of these United States.
One bit of housekeeping before we get to the points: we accidentally omitted three women from yesterday’s scoring template. We caught it about halfway through last’s night show and updated it then. If you downloaded it before roughly 8 p.m. central time last night (or you noticed three ladies were missing from your line-up in your scorecard), you can re-download the correct version here. Apologies!
We also announced the Wildcard Points category on Twitter last night: First Gal to Make a Pun About Farming won 20 points. Hats off to Kaitlyn; something tells us we’d get along.

I am so excited about this season! Its mine and my friends first time drafting a fantasy league, so I just want to clarify a question I’ve come across while tracking the points for this week. Do points count for girls who were voted off? I have one girl who picked a girl who did not get a rose. Do the points she earned last night still count for my friends total?
Thanks for the help!
Hi Haelie! So glad you’re playing along this season! To answer your question – yes, even if a girl goes home , she still earns the points for that episode.
Reagan +5 for the heart in the cooler?
I thought she might eke out 5 points for that faux-heart but ultimately she wheeled it away instead of actually giving him his gift. So no points for Reegan!
Love this blog! Our third year playing and so excited for this season. If episode one is any indication, this season has some crazy betches!
Glad you’re back, Alex! We couldn’t agree more—they brought out the big guns (Jillian) and the looney tunes (Ashley S.) this season. Thank you, bach gods!
Jordan was drunk too, right? Just not as hamboned as Tara? I feel like Whitney or somebody bitched about it, but I don’t have DVR. Refs, will you please examine the replay?
I (Jorie) waffled back and forth on that. I think it was maaaybe more of an editing job than a case of Jordan visiting Hammertown (although let’s face it, she was probably drunk). In the end, I chose not to give her the Drunkard Points. But you can give them in your league if you disagree!
Thank you! We are having a blast with this!Is there a way to know the wildcard points before the episode besides by twitter? Is there anyway you could post that on this site as well the night before?? Erika GreeneColorado

Definitely, Erika. We plan to post them at the end of our weekly episode recaps. For example, we’ll post an Episode 1 Recap later this week, and we’ll announce next week’s wildcard points then.
This is awesome!! Thank you guys for adding up all the points every week. My husband and I are moving tomorrow and we’re excited that we can use this Fantasy Bach Competition as a way to keep in touch with our friends back home! It makes watching the show even more entertaining than it already is!
Hi Paula! That’s why we originally started playing BachFantasy! After college, we were scattered all over the U.S., so we started a league to keep in touch with each other. Good luck this season!!
Kaitlyn is from Vancouver (though maybe not living there), so not all of the kooks are confined. My group is doing a post-ep. 1 draft, though I fear there are so many crazies this season that we’ll all end up with the same teams. Side note: This site is blocked in my office as “Adult Content”. Doh.
Good point about our Canadian friend, Mike. Love that we’re too spicy for your work filter (must be our potty-mouths). Good luck on your draft!
Wondering about Kelsey – her deceased loved one was her husband and they never divorced. Does that disqualify him as an ‘ex-husband’ and actually make him her ‘late husband’?
Good call, Heather. I also debated this for a while (this is how I spend my Monday nights). Ultimately, the intention of the rule is to give points to a lady every time she mentions her previous husband/fiance. I think I’ll change the wording of the rule now to state “previous husband or fiance” rather than ex, so it will also incorporate the deceased.
Did Britt actually kiss Chris? I thought it was an almost-kiss?
They did some serious smooching later on in the show!
I have kaitlyn Jordan Megan and Ashley I left and came in 4th in a 6 team league. Should I try to trade if so who for who?
Ooooh, I’m not sure. I think Britt would be huge. Tracy could be a dark horse too. I have a gut feeling that Ashley (I’m assuming Ashley I.) isn’t going to pan out, so you could potentially offer her up for a trade, but I think you have a pretty solid team.
Do you think Ashley S was visbily drunk? I mean she was going on about onions…
I think she was more likely on hallucinogens. We’ll have to add a new category next year.
We pre-picked half of the girls from our draft and then picked the rest after limos. I am so so SOOOOO happy I didn’t pick a few girls. Man, my bach instincts are on point. Thanks for setting this up!
Is there any better feeling that drafting the right contestants? I haven’t found it yet. Glad you’re enjoying the league!
I keep trying to donwload the excel doc, but each one I download is still missing Meagan, Michelle and Nicole, I know that two of them were kicked off, but still.
Hey Molly! I think I know what might be happening. Click on the “Episode 1” tab on the bottom of the spreadsheet—those tabs have been updated with all 30 girls. The “sample” sheet is missing a few girls but the actual episode tabs are good to go.
My co-worker came up with our excellent team name: E-I-E-I-Hoes.
That is excellent.
Wasn’t Kimberly crying her eyes out at the end of the episode?
Nah, it was actually a lot of crocodile tears. We added the contingency rule that we have to see moisture fall after JP’s season, when there were a lot of teary and red eyes. In order to get the 25 points, the ladies gotta be actually crying pretty hard. Thankfully, based on the previews, that shouldn’t be a problem this season.
Hi All!
Looking forward to this iteration of Bachelor Fantasy, should be a good season! We don’t draft until after the first episode (so we can get a real good feel for the ladies), but we’re excited.
Thanks again for helping me manage all of the points and making my dream of playing Fantasy Bachelor a reality (we’ve been using your site since Juan Pablo).
Keep it up!
Thanks so much, Steven! Glad to have you for the third season in a row. You’re a BachFantasy veteran!
